Well, you're right that DSfix is pretty much required.I personally would recommend DSfix 1.9, since it allows antialiasing. What mod(s) can make Skyrim's combat a bit more. I've been playing Dark Souls for some time and I've decided to return to Skyrim modding. It features new bosses and enemies, new characters, new storylines, new weapons and items, expanded lore, and plenty of new secrets. Dark Souls: Daughters of Ash is a massive re-imagining and expansion of Dark Souls. Open the Cinders ZIP file you downloaded. DSfix appears to be one of them, and I think a few other high-res mods (Though I'm still looking to see if they'll clash with other mods).Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks. However, I also have read that there are some optimization issues, as well as rather low res graphics issues with the game (being a direct port, it's to be expected). So here I am now, asking all of you PC Darksouls vets, what you would suggest for a new comer to the Dark Souls PC edition in terms of essential mods to make the experience the best as possible. I already know that there is a lot of problems in regards to the port and how trying to play the game with a mouse and K/B can be an exercise in frustration. That said, I have my PS3 controller installed into the computer right now so that part won't be a big issue. So I'm debating on if I want to get Dark Souls for PC. Nexus Mods Dark Souls Prepare To Die Again

#NEXUS MODS DARK SOULS INSTALL#
Thank you for the information.I have since tried Skyrim as a means to verify it did not persist and it looks like Skyrim has no issues.Edit: I'm attempting to mod DS2 Sotfs (the re-release) with the item randomizer so idk if GeDoSaTo is required for that, but I am struggling to get it GeDoSaTo to install unfortunately. Interesting I honestly was unaware of 'GeDoSaTo', I don't beleive I receive another message or anything I attempted to be as thorough as I could with my information but I honestly believe you're 100% on the money with 'GeDoSaTo' and I will look into it.

#NEXUS MODS DARK SOULS HOW TO#
Hmm, Didn't you get another message as well?Dark Souls 2 (or rather: many mods for it) requires GeDoSaTo to be modded successfully and Vortex needs to be able to discover it automatically (through the 'InstallPath' registry key at 'HKEYLOCALMACHINESoftwareWow6432NodeDuranteGeDoSaTo,And then Vortex needs write permission to texturesDarkSoulsII directory.I think the error message means you don't have GeDoSaTo installed or the registry key doesn't exist and so Vortex doesn't know where it is and how to deploy there.
